From Apple Juice to Teflon coated cooking pans. Every thing gives you cancer, poison you(or your pets), or destroys the ozone layer and adds to the green house effect, and global warming, the emissions from your car are melting the ice caps killing the polar bears, never mind that people poach them. and Good Lord some one save us we're all gonna die! I think we all need to be put in to bubbles and live like a "bubble boy". That way we save the planet, dont eat any meat, only organic plants we grow out in our little bubble gardens, and we never cut any trees down, have artificial trees to produce man made oxygen. We'll never need cares because only some of our little bubble worlds are connected, which reduces the chance for war because we're so cut off and we dont want to destroy the world any more right?
I mean really now, after all that, is there any thing in this world that IS safe?
*sighs* really now can I take a step our sice me door, or cook with out committing a slow suicide?
I really have stopped watching the news, since they keep coming up with new ways i'm killing my self, my neighbors, or the world.
I'm going to go play with Tatl for a few and finish this later when I actually have a point and I'm not just ranting.
I applaud the idea of creating a safer home, and because there's so much misinformation out there about the Teflon® brand, I'm not surprised that you are concerned. I'm a representative of DuPont though, and hope you'll let me share some information with you and your readers, so that everyone can make truly informed decisions.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to PFOA and cancer - The weight of evidence gathered from a number of significant health studies continues to indicate to us that there is no health risk to the general public from exposure to PFOA. Additionally, no authoritative body has designated PFOA as a human carcinogen. The U.S. EPA stated that it is premature to conclude that PFOA causes cancer. See thats my point! Well some of it. I'm just tired of the public raving about all this stuff when we really only know half of the actual research and testing thats been done.
